Connected tension.

With the growing interests in environmental awareness, bamboo has cropped as a green alternative to other woody raw materials. This project aimed at understanding the indigenous crafts and traditional knowledge systems of bamboo production in India. With a fresh vision focussed at integrating local design industry and artisans’ skill-set in order to bring out innovative directions for future.

The word 'stasis' stands for counterbalance, tension, harmony and togetherness. This two piece outdoor furniture set is essentially a representation of such expressions. With a playful theme of tensegrity, we tried to test the limits of this green material and express our contemporary take on bamboo furniture.
